Grade 1 2027 Applications

Grade 1 2027 admissions are regulated by the Gauteng Department of Education (GDE).
Applications are made via the online platform of the GDE at www.gdeadmissions.gov.za
Supporting documents are uploaded onto GDE platform or delivered to the school within 7 days of making the application.
STEP THREE
Complete the Bryandale Primary online application form using the Scadsys Portal
Grade 2-7 2027 Applications

Please complete and submit the Bryandale Primary School online application form. The application consists of 12 pages. After submission, please print all 12 pages, ensure that both parents/guardians sign where required, and verify that all pages are included.
Once completed, deliver the following to the school:
- Printed copy of the full 12-page application with required signatures from both parents/guardians.
- Copies of all supporting documents in the correct order (as listed under “Supporting Documents Required”)
Upon receipt of the completed application and supporting documentation, your child can be added to the 2027 Waiting List.
Placement offers will be subject to availability in the grade/s required.
Applications for Grade 2 – 7 are not made on the GDE online platform. Applications are completed on www.scadco.co.za and delivered directly to the school.
If an application is not delivered and no receipt is issued, it will not be added to the waiting list.
Online applications are only valid once they have been delivered to our school.

Ensure both parents sign the application form and deliver to Bryandale Primary with supporting documents
Admissions Placement Criteria (Grade 1)
The following criteria is considered in order of priority below:
- List 1 – Home address within school feeder zone: The applicant learner’s place of residence is closest to the school within the feeder zone.
- List 2 – Sibling / Previous School: The applicant learner has a sibling attending the school.
- List 3 – Work Address within school feeder zone: The place of employment of at least one of the applicant learner’s parents is within a 30km radius of the school; or
- List 4 – Home address Within 30 kms of the school: The applicant learner’s place of residence is within a 30kms radius of the school; or
- List 5 – Home address Beyond 30 kms from the school: The applicant learner’s place of residence is beyond a 30 kms radius of the school

- List 1 – Relocations from other provinces: Applicants transferring from schools outside the province.
- List 2 – Sibling: The applicant has a sibling currently attending the school or sibling has been accepted in Grade R/Grade 1.
- List 3 – Home address within school feeder zone: The applicant learner’s place of residence is closest to the school within the feeder zone.
Supporting Documents Required (Grades 1-7)
Certified copy of unabridged birth certificate of applicant (no older than 3 months)
- Certified copy of mother’s ID document (no older than 3 months)
- Certified copy of father’s ID document (no older than 3 months)
- Copy of up-to-date vaccination/clinic card
- Copy of latest school report
- Proof of address in the parent/s name
- OWNERS:
1. City of Joburg statement (not older than 3 months) – bearing the full physical residential address and name of parent - RENTING (ALL 6 these documents must be handed in)
- Valid lease agreement signed by landlord and tenant, bearing the full physical residential address and details of the lessee.
- Municipal account not older than 3 months in the name of the landlord (homeowner) bearing the full physical residential address.
- Copy of landlord ID .
- Rental statement of the lessee (not older than 3 months).
- Statement of any account in the name of the applicant parent bearing the full physical residential address i.e. fibre statement, cell phone statement, car insurance.
- Proof of rental payment – POP (confirmation letter).
- Valid lease agreement signed by landlord and tenant, bearing the full physical residential address and details of the lessee.
- OWNERS:
- Proof of work address: Letter from the employer on the official letterhead.
- Transfer card – REQUIRED ONLY ON PLACEMENT (Grade 2-7 only)
**An Affidavit/letter is NOT a valid proof of home address and will NOT be accepted as proof of home address as per GDE admission regulations**
Important Notice on Placement and Documentation
Please note: As a high-pressure school, placement is not automatically guaranteed simply because you reside within our feeder zone. Parents are therefore required to apply to other schools. This ensures that every child has a valid placement option once allocations are confirmed. Failure to apply to multiple schools may result in your child not being placed at a school.
NOTE: Submissions of FRAUDULANT / FALSIFIED documents is a CRIMINAL OFFENCE. Your application may be rejected or disqualified if you submitted fraudulent / falsified documents.
Schools are allowed to do home visits if the school is not convinced of the authenticity of documents submitted by the parent or if there is suspicion that the parent does not live/reside at the address that was provided, to verify and confirm proof of home address.
The school reserves the right to verify and authenticate any information or documentation submitted.
